For displacement and distance measurements at ambient temperatures up to +800 °C, Micro-Epsilon now offers the robust, capacitive capaNCDT 6228 sensor system. Its high temperature stability and exceptionally high linearity enables precise results even in challenging ambient conditions. The new capacitive sensor system capaNCDT 6228 consists of the capacitive high temperature sensors capaNCDT CSE/HT and the capaNCDT 6228 controller. The sensor system is designed for high temperature applications up to +800 °C. It is used, among other things, to measure the thickness of glowing brake discs and to monitor the level of float glass. Up to four sensors can be connected to the high-performance controller simultaneously. The available sensors cover measuring ranges from 1 mm up to 20 mm. A high-temperature sensor cable compensates for interference from electric or magnetic fields.

The laser sensors of the optoNCDT 1420 series are raised to a new performance level. With a doubled measuring rate, 16-bit digital/analog conversion and IP67 protection, they are now the fastest laser sensors in their class. Due to their outstanding performance, the sensors are ideal for series applications in automation and machine building. The optoNCDT 1420 laser sensors are small, powerful and fast and have been raised to a new level through targeted optimization. The measuring rates have been doubled to up to 8 kHz, making them the fastest sensors in their class. The new models offer maximum performance in any environment and are characterized by a temperature stability of ±0.015 % d.M. / K and an ambient light resistance of up to 50,000 lux. A high-performance D/A converter enables 16 bit resolution at the analog output. The optoNCDT 1420 laser sensors are used for precise displacement and distance measurements at measuring ranges from 10 mm to 500 mm.

The new surfaceCONTROL 3500-240 3D snapshot sensor expands the 3D sensor portfolio. The new sensor is used for flatness and coplanarity measurement, as well as for defect detection on large measuring objects up to 245 x 180 mm. The high-performance 3D sensor is characterized by a high z-axis repeatability of < 1.4 micrometers. This allows structures and details to be detected with the highest precision and in a single measurement. The surfaceCONTROL 3xx0-240 with its large measuring range and outstanding 3D data quality captures structures and details of larger targets with highest precision. The sensor offers a high z-axis resolution of up to 4 µm, excellent z-axis repeatability of < 1.4 µm and a large measuring range. This enables maximum precision in numerous applications such as the testing of bipolar plates. The most important applications include flatness and coplanarity measurement as well as defect detection.

The new optoCONTROL 2700 micrometer offers maximum precision for inline quality assurance. It provides a digital resolution of 10 nm and a linearity of ≤ 1 µm. It is used for diameter, gap, edge and segment measurements in industrial production processes, where it delivers extremely accurate results, even on transparent measuring objects. The optoCONTROL 2700 has a real-time inclination correction of the measuring object, which means that exact alignment of the measuring object is not necessary. The entire configuration of the LED micrometer is carried out via the integrated web interface.

The new models of the thicknessGAUGE sensor systems now offer higher performance for the inline thickness measurement of strip materials and sheets. The turnkey systems are now equipped with the latest laser sensors, laser scanners or confocal chromatic sensors. As a result, they solve measurement tasks with optimized performance data and extended measuring ranges. The systems are used, for example, to measure the thickness of battery films and metal strips. The OEM-capable thicknessGAUGE inline thickness measuring systems are now even more powerful. These systems are available in three different versions: with laser sensors, laser scanners or confocal chromatic sensors, which enable optimum measurement results for numerous measuring objects. With the changeover to the new sensor models, they now measure faster and over larger measuring ranges.
